Whole new ball game • When they had finally taken care of their end of the dramatic conclusion of this crazy, rousing, unpredictable, inexplicable, ulcer-inducing, but suddenly magical baseball season, there was really only one way for this joyride to come to an end: With one more healthy dose of gut-churning drama. So late Wednesday night, the Cardinals bunkered down in the visitors clubhouse inside Minute Maid Park and impatiently waited for the Atlanta Braves to fold. And they waited … and waited …and waited. Finally, at nearly 10:40 p.m., the extra-innings affair with the Philadelphia Phillies ended with a game-ending double play that sent the Braves home for the winter and the improbable Cardinals racing into the postseason.

How do you celebrate the loss of your military loved one? If you are a family member that has lost a loved one in the military, LC Promotions would like your help in honoring these service men and women. On Saturday, September 24th, LC Promotions will be sponsoring an event on behalf of TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Programs for Survivors) and displaying framed photos along with short biographies and memorable stories of unforgettable times spent with soldiers and their familes. Who is TAPS? TAPS Mission TAPS provides ongoing emotional help, hope and healing to all who are grieving the death of a loved one in the military service to America, regardless of relationship to the deceased, geography or circumstance of death. TAPS meets its mission by providing peer-based support, crisis care, casualty casework assistance and grief and trauma resources If you are interested in submitting a framed photo for display, volunteering for during this event or would like to know how TAPS can be of assistance to you or someone you know contact LC Promotions for more information.
This is the 10th annual poker run and Responder Rescue was chosen to be the beneficiary this year. Proceeds will go to helping Injured Police Officers, Firefighters and EMS Workers.
This ride has raised thousands of dollars for area charities over the years. This is one of the largest rides around with one of the biggest purses. 1st place will receive $1000, 2nd $500, 3rd $250.
We would like to thank the “Blue Knights” “Fire and Iron” motorcycle clubs and several others for volunteering their time to help make this event a success.
